New DO’S&DONT’S for all of you! This time we are gong to analyze Adho Mukha Svanasana.
Here we are showing you two typical example of how this pose can be practiced wrongly. In the first case , the upper photo, our suggestion is to bend your legs a little bit so that you can focus on opening more your chest, lengthening the spine and distributing your weight between your feet and hands. In the second case, (the middle photo) you should focus on engaging the core bringing both the navel and the ribs in, lengthening the spine without arching it.
Beginners tips: remember, at the beginning you won’t look exactly as in the bottom photo, and that’s ok! You should first focus on lengthening the spine instead of stretching your hamstrings and calves. Bend you legs and focus on your upper body and only when your chest will be more open and your spine nice and long you can start working on your legs.
